• Fully automated reporting procedure. Sirs aims to be deployable
across an existing school network. It allows teachers and administration
personnel to streamline the reporting process and allow the maximum
management of time with a quality end product. Sirs radically reduces
the time it takes to make a yearly report and aims to make handwritten
or semi automated reporting processes a thing of the past.
•
SIRS harnesses the flexibility and power of Microsoft Word to
produce the professionally produced individually tailored report
a parent expects from a school but without the need for teachers
and administration to get bogged down in the time consuming processes
that an individually tailored report can create.
•
Individual student statements are fully customizable for that
‘personal touch’. The input of data at a single source
means there is no need to go crawling through a multitude of Word
documents at a later data customizing student reports that other
automated systems can not provide for.
•
An advanced user interface allows for the streamlining of a classes
reporting. A preview function will display what the finished report
will look like at the click of a button. The system will even
tell you what classes haven’t been reported on and notify
the appropriate personal if the situation remains unchanged!
•
Use of wizards through out the system allow for the easy input
of data by administration. An easy to understand, logical graphical
user interface removes the need to additionally train staff and
a shallow learning curve encourages full use of the system by
the end user.
•
The system is able to integrate fully with OMR reporting processes
and even allows for a paper-based solution for those teachers
who are nervous around computers. This can allow for a slow adoption
of the system over time and yet still allow for the same great
time saving benefits the system provides.
•
Reports are populated with statements dynamically from a central
database stored on a server. This allows storage to be kept to
a minimum because there are not hundreds of word documents corresponding
to a student’s class but also allow for easy retrieval from
the system. Gone are the days of trawling through paper or electronically
stored reports.
•
The system can tell administration at a glance which classes reports
are ready to be printed, which classes have not been started or
which are partially done. Reports can be batch printed or printed
individually if duplicates or replacements are needed.
